During our children’s vacation we went to ecodrome. It’s a place where children can explore, read and learn all kinds of information about ancient times and look at some exotic creatures. Ofcourse the children loved it. There was so much to see, so much to do. They kept running from one corner to the other, tumbling over each other to tell us what they saw and learned.
I loved seeing them enjoy themselves so much. But yet…
I have mixed feelings looking at the animals like this. Locked behind glass. In their limited spaces. They look well taken care off, they have enough to eat, comfortable surroundings and I am sure they have loving care takers, but still. Something in me wanted to secretly open the doors, let them out and bring them back to their natural habitat, where their beauty would shine even more.
Am I a big softie feeling that way?
